First time Omaha

So after losing 35$ to "bad beats". Well not really bad beats. But at the time calling I had 50%+ in every Sit & Go. I started going hardcore tilt and played Omaha for the first time. After 3 hands I won back 60$ so I left quite happily with the outcome.
Can someone tell me what style of poker is considered the most solid? Omaha, holdem, nl/pl, Sit & Go's, tournaments or standard tables? My goal is not the quick money. But I want to be rewarded for being a good player some day.
I know a lot of you should be quite experienced in the choice of pokerstyle and their pro's and con's.
For my 10$ - 1000$ challenge I'm still at 50$

Bad luck?

Is it allowed to think in terms of luck? Cause I had a lot of bad luck today alright...
Even though I quit playing Hyper speed Sit & Go's which helps a lot with that preflop allin shit (thanks for the tip guys, I thought everyone grinds Hyper before I read otherwise in the comments ^^ ), theres still plenty around. And even though I know I have the better hand, I have this feeling I shouldn't call. Because every time I do I get punished hard. Losing KK to Q 7 feels tough man.. specially When you go out as third unpaid. (a lot of "I"'s up there, sorry not a native English speaker)
Oh well I have the feeling I make the right choices and overtime it will pay. As for my 10$ - 1000$ challenge I'm doing it step by step and after 4 sweaty hand days of poker I broker 50$ today. I just lost one to 46$ but the mark has been broken anyway.
Hoping I continue making progress. The first 3 days Ive felt I learn more and more by hand. This day was kinda playing my game and luck will decide the rest. Hopefully Ill learn more tomorrow.
PS: K9 suited is my favorite hand and never lets me down.
